Methyl-1-testosterone is an oral anabolic steroid, a methylated form of the powerful 1-testosterone steroid. Like many steroids, M1T was discovered in the 50s and then has been forgotten only to be rediscovered in the early 2000s.
It can be regarded as a bastard between Winstrol, Primobolan and trenbolone. The truth is that M1T is more powerful than all steroids that are sold in pharmacies today.
Being a Primobolan derivative, M1T does not aromatize. That would suggest it promotes lean muscle gains without water retention. But this is not the case. Most of those who have used it have reported a significant water retention even in moderate doses. Care should be taken not to associate it with other steroids that convert into strogen, and even when used alone is better to be accompanied by Nolvadex or Arimidex.
Other side effects are oily skin, acne, hair loss. Although not very androgenic to cause these side effects, they can with any anabolic steroid.
Being 17-alpha alkylated (the group that protects its pass through the liver) is hepatotoxic and care should be taken with the use of this steroid. As one of the most powerful steroids, the same doses produce a much greater stress on the liver than other steroids. For exemple, 20 mg of M1T produce a stress much higher than 20 mg Dianabol. Do not exceed 6 weekes of administration, and have regular bloodworks.
The optimal dose is 5-10 mg per day; 20 mg per day is already a dangerous dose. It is better to take 10 mg and associate it with an injectable steroid such as testosterone cypionate.
Many who use this product complain about the lethargy it can cause due to its weak androgen effect. The association with testosterone make this problem go away. 400 mg of testosterone cypionate and 10 mg/day M1T are ideal for a bulking cycle. As Anadrol , M1T is not a "friendly" steroid but it is certainly an effective one.
