Clenbuterol is a beta-2-agonist. Beta-2 agonists are used to treat breathing disorders like asthma. This substances  actively reverses airway obstructions and provides improved breathing for those who need it. Works by copying the effects of natural substances such as adrenaline and noradrenaline, substances produced in the body. These chemicals prepare the body for action, as exercise or when subjected to stress. One of the effects of these substances is to open the airways so that more air can reach the lungs. You should not use beta-2-agonists if you have kidney and liver health issues and it should be used with great care when you have heart problems, thyroid dysfunctions or diabetes.

Clenbuterol is a selective beta-2 agonist. This means it only binds with some of the beta-2 receptors, not all of them. When htis happens there is an increase in body temperature and implicitly an increase in metabolic rate and a decreased appetite. These properties make Clenbuterol the main choice of athletes when they want to burn fat without compromising muscle mass. Beside the thermogenic effect, Clenbuterol also has an anti-catabolic effect. 
But Clenbuterol does not directly burn fat, contrary to what many believe. Fat loss happen as a result of the general increase of the metabolism through mitochondria stimulation in the fat cells. Fat cells have many beta-2 receptors so clenbuterol is very active in the fat tissue. 

Clenbuterol is found as tablets of 20 mcg or 40 mcg, but is also available in the form of syrup, asthma inhaler, injections, powder and granules. Doses are very dependent on how well the user tolerates the side effects, but are in the area of 40-120 mcg / day. One should never exceed 200 mcg / day, which is a very high dose. Any dose above 120 mcg / day increases the risk of heart damage! Pay attention, Clenbuterol is measured in micrograms - mcg, not mg - milligrams

Clenbuterol loses its thermogenic effect after 8 weeks, when the body temperature returns to normal. This is why most athletes use a thermometer to check their body temperature. Clenbuterol increases body temperature a little, and when the temperature returns to normal administration should be interrupted and a break should be taken because Clenbuterol it's no longer effective, and the beta-2 receptors have downregulated. The break allows the upregulation of the receptors. 

Its anti-catabolic properties disappear after 18 days. Many belive that Clenbuterol has anabolic properties, but this is not true. Its use after steroids cycles, during PCT, in hope of retaining more muscle mass proved ineffective. The myth that it is anabolic comes from animal studies, where it was found that in mices is highly anabolic. But these effects are not present in humans.

For fat loss and muscle definition Clenbuterol has proven to be very effective, many athletes using it successfully, especially when extreme cutting is needed, such as before a bodybuilding competition. But Clenbuterol is not a magic pill! Will not make fat disappear miraculously just because you use it. It still takes a calorie restricted diet. In fact, to burn fat successfully you need to have a strict diet just as if you weren't using Clnebuterol. Clenbuterol is used to speed up the diet and have quicker results. Someone with high fat percentages will have no benefit from using Clenbuterol. 
Clenbuterol is used when you are already lean and want to get even lenear and butn the stubborn fat. Given the potential side effects it is absolutely illogical that someone who has over 10% body fat to use it. Most often is used by bodybuilders, fitness models or other athletes that need muscle definition. 

Considering the long half-life the most effective method of administration would be 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, no more than 12 weeks in total. To extend the time that Clenbuterol can be used in a row (up to 6 weeks) after the first two weeks of use Ketotifen is added, 2 mg per day; care should be taken, adding ketotifen increases the potency of clenbuterol, so a dose decrease may be needed. The half-life of clenbuterol it's 35 hours. 
When used for 4-6 weeks doses are increased at longer intervals of time. The maximum dose must be reached in the last 7-14 days of cycle.

Clenbuterol cycles don't start directly with large doses! Doses are gradually increasing, from 20-40 mcg / day. They are gradualy increased until the desired dose is reached. In the case of female athletes, starting doses are 10-20 mcg / day and maximum doses are 80-100 mcg / day. 

An example of a Clenbuterol cycle:

  • Day 1: 20mcg
  • Day 2: 40mcg
  • Day 3: 60mcg
  • Day 4: 80mcg
  • Day 5: 80mcg
  • 6-12 days: 100mcg
  • Day 13: 80 mcg
  • Day 14: 60 mcg

Clenbuterol is used by some after steroid cycles to help in recovery, but this method is not effective. The most popular use of clenbuterol is for cutting. It also increases vascularity, strength and tone when in a caloric deficit. For best results many athletes combine Clenbuterol with T3 . Again, this combination only works when you already have low levels of fat and follow a fat loss diet.

The most common side effects are dizziness, nervousness, heart pains, increased sweating, muscle cramps, trembling hands. But these side effects behave differently from individual to individual. Usually the most intense Clenbuterol side effects occur at the begining of the cycleand are high doses are used since the start. The most intense side effects usually develop within 3-4 days. If after these days the side effects are still strong discontinue administration and resume after 2 weeks. This methond is used until the body adapts. There are persons who do not tolerate stimulants like this.

In general Clenbuterol side effects are felt strongly by most users. It is extremely rare for anyone to not feel any side effects when using it. The most common side effects are: jittery or wired feeling, shaky hands, increased sweating and heart palpitations. 

Another common side effect are muscle cramps. This happen especially in athletes because they do intense workouts. It is necessary to drink plenty of water during the administration of Clenbuterol. Taurine supplementation is recommended because Clenbuterol can empty the body reserves.

Most dangerous side effects usually occur at high doses, but can also occur at low doses, below 100 mcg / day. The dangerous sie effects are heart pain, high blood pressure, irregular heart beats and panic. Some studies have found that abuse can lead to heart muscle hypertrophy, which is irreversible and in time leads to death.

Clenbuterol is found relatively easily on the black market, and is not expensive. Fakes are very rare; problems arise from products manufactured by underground laboratories, which can be sub-doses or overdoses, making administration difficult. Also, as production technique is not well planned in such cases, the resulting product may be unstable, leading to the rapid loss of properties, becoming virtually useless.
